The 31 Day Adulting Challenge

This must be what detoxing is like.  No chocolate.  No cake.  No buttered toast.  Not even coffee with my favorite creamer.  Nope.  I have apples, nuts and tea.  Yay.

My energy is at an all time high, but my give-a-damn has plummeted.  It’s almost like depression, but without the will to even feel sad.  I just feel blah.

I don’t want to adult.  I don’t want to paint or clean or declutter.  I don’t want to take the car in for maintenance.  I don’t want to get up early.  I just want cake….and creamy coffee….and somebody else to do it all for me.

I didn’t take pictures this week, because I only lost one pound.  But I started needed a belt, so I guess that’s progress.

But I want cake….like, all the time.

    I feel your pain! I was in the same place as you, back in January. I started a lifestyle diet where I began to cut out sugar and wheat and found myself at a very slow standstill, losing little to no weight each week, while feeling hungry, almost to the point of starvation, lol. A friend invited me to go to a No Excuse Mom’s workout class, and I was reluctant to go, because it’s not something I’ve ever done, workout – nor did I want to do that. However, I did go, and it was so much fun to meet other moms struggling with their weight, and trying to get it off. The workout lasted 30 minutes, and I felt great afterwards, and amazingly, lost 2 pounds that day, oh my! Was I ever happy! Anyway, I just wanted to encourage you. Maybe you could find a friend to walk with, or workout with at your house. It did the trick for me. I’m working out at the class regularly, plus at home with the new exercises I’ve learned, and I feel so much better. Hope this helps, and have a lovely St. Patrick’s Day!

      Wow. Thank you so much for the encouragement and advice. I’ll look around for a group to work out with. That sounds like fun and it would be great to have people I feel accountable toward.

    I think you are doing a great job and you have more determination than me.
    I’d find it really hard to stop the food goodies – though you mention high energy and I would go to extends to get some energy!

      Thanks 🙂 The high energy and the “I’m super lame if I can’t just make it 31 days” are the only two things keeping me going. I still want cake….like daily.
