The 4 Bathroom Organizers You Can't Live Without

If you’re following So Domestically Challenged on Google + or Facebook, you know that Throw Back Thursdays are means last year’s YouTube videos get new life. Today, I’m uploading a video I did on organizing under the bathroom sink. In honor of my Throw Back Thursday post, today I’m sharing 4 of my favorite bathroom organization products available on Amazon.

As a note: Clicking through these links and making a purchase does give me a small commission. If you aren’t comfortable with that, please don’t feel obligated to use these links.

I may have a small addition to little acrylic organizers in the bathroom. Not only can you see what’s inside, but you can make sure that the containers are staying clean and free of dust and debris. This is essential when you’re dealing with things that need to remain sterile like Q-Tips and cotton balls.

Kitchen Shelf

Kitchen shelving. Kitchen shelving in the bathroom? Heck yeah! I love using these under the sink, toward the back of the cabinet where everything is always hard to reach and just gets all messy. A couple of these transforms the entire space.

Over the door shoe pockets

Over the door shoe pockets. Long time followers of So Domestically Challenged will know that I love over the door shoe pockets. They’re so completely versatile. In the bathroom, I love to use them to hold things that are used daily like brushes, combs, deodorant and face wash. It frees up a ton of space on your counter-tops and if you put this inside of a closet door, you can close it up and not see it.

Sturdy plastic baskets

Small, sturdy plastic bins. Why plastic? Because it’s so easy to clean. You can wipe it; you can soak it; you can bleach it. I especially love this floral basket from InterDesign. It comes in multiple sizes, has a super cute flowery pattern and it ridiculously thick and sturdy. We have one and I use it to hold brushes, combs and hair product for my daughter. It’s pretty awesome.

There are so many ways to organize in a bathroom. What are some of your favorites? I’d love to read about them in the comments!

  1. These are great ideas, especially when the bathroom is small! Pinning!

      Thank you so much Wendi!

I love over the door shoe hangers too! Everything you said about them is exactly right. The only thing I would add is a shallow drawer set. I have a plastic 3-drawer one from walmart that I use for all my makeup and girl stuff. Or maybe I just have too much makeup! In our powder room, we do not have a cabinet under the sink so the back-up toilet paper is in, guess what, a basket! Don’t listen to silly, non-constructive comments. It says more about them than you!

Thanks Rachel. You’re so sweet! 🙂

Yes, I love little plastic drawer units. They can help immensely in all sorts of spots. I don’t have any that I use in the bathroom, so I didn’t even think about it. I do have another post in the works about how versatile those things can be. I’ll be sure to add your tip to it! Thanks! 🙂

What a stupid video. The camera isn’t pointed so you can’t even see under the sink. A huge basket holding 6 rolls of toilet paper is ridiculous. You can stack in two stacks and that takes up far less room than that huge basket!

Hey Liz! You’re so nice, you commented twice (I mean, if you include the similarly-sweet comment on my Pin).

No worries, next time I put myself out there, I’ll remember that I can’t please all of the people, all of the time.

      Have a great day!
