Containing Pipe Cleaners
If you have crafty kids, odds are, you have pipe cleaner mess somewhere in your home! Pipe cleaners are always so tricky to store: they don’t fit in pencil boxes, they’re taller than Pringles cans, and if you want to put them in a Ziploc bag, you have to use 1 gallon size or larger.
Today’s post will give you two simple, inexpensive options for storing these kid’s craft necessities.
Option number 1: A mailing tube. You can find these anywhere mailing supplies are sold. They typically sell for a couple of dollars each. Each side opens and you just slide the pipe cleaners in.
Option number 2: A Paintbrush holder. I found this one at Hobby Lobby, but you should be able to find them at any craft store. The Hobby Lobby one retails for $1.99, but of course after the weekly coupon, it was just over $1. The paintbrush holder is adjustable: just twist to make it the right size for your pipe cleaners.
And there you have it: two very easy, very affordable ways to keep your pipe cleaners from creating chaos in your crafting area.
